Tiltle Case in word 2003

UNCAPPING TEXT and Changing Text Case

Summary: Take uppercase text in Microsoft Word 2003 documents and convert it to 'normal'.

EVER SEEN TEXT LIKE THIS AND WANT TO SCREAM? IF SO, YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW OF A WAY IN MICROSOFT WORD 2003 TO CONVERT THIS TEXT TO THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.

JUST HIGHLIGHT THE ALL-CAPPED TEXT. CHOOSE "FORMAT" FROM THE MAIN MENU, SELECTING CHANGE CASE". ON THE DIALOG BOX THAT APPEARS, SELECT "SENTENCE CASE."

This converts your text to uppercase *and* lowercase. You may, however, need to further modify the text, converting proper nouns and names to uppercase.

Note that other options are available in this dialog box. They are:

* Lowercase - Lowercases the selected text

* Uppercase - Caps all selected text. Good for headlines, but please don't use this everywhere!

* Title Case - Makes the first letter of each selected word capitalized. Note that small words such as "Of", "And", and "The" will also be capitalized. You may not find this desirable in your documents.

* Toggle Case - Toggles the case of the currently selected text.

If you don't want to go through the menus, just press SHIFT-F3 to toggle through the sentence casing schemes Microsoft Word 2003 provides.
